I found my love of hiking last year in Glacier National Park — a love for the mountains, and that park specifically, but hiking in general too.
I enjoy doing things that have a low barrier to entry but that, with nothing but some hard work and determination, can be incredibly rewarding. That’s hiking to me. It’s what you yourself are going to make of it. If you want to hike a mile on a boardwalk trail and just do something easy, that’s an option. If you want to thru-hike the CDT, that’s an option too. It’s all what you make of it — and that’s what I love.

I like to go where people don’t always go, and see the things a lot of people haven’t. To me, that’s my version of hiking. I’m willing to do something a bit more tricky, challenging, or off the beaten path if it means I’m one of only a few people who get to experience it.

Enter PackLiteLife. It was an idea I had to try and bring my passion for hiking into something I could share daily with other people. I’m hoping to provide content and information to people who are either experienced with hiking or just getting their feet wet.
I would love to eventually see fellow hikers out on the trail wearing my apparel, or recognizing me for helping them with a passion I enjoy. I eventually think I’ll have to move to an area like Kalispell to be able to write more frequently and provide more in-depth hiking information, reports, and reviews of trails, gear, and my experiences. I hope this website can get me there — that’s my dream. To be able to use this as a means to actually live my passion.
Please join me on my journey, and help me get to the top of my proverbial mountain.
